The purpose of reading intervention at Greendale Middle School is to provide a system of small or large group support for students who are not meeting expected levels of achievement. Areas for targeted intervention include decoding, fluency, comprehension, and basic literacy. Various tools are used including direct instruction as well as specialized online programming. All students who participate in reading intervention are monitored for progress at regular intervals.
